Wrote a trail review. Grove of Titans • Jedediah Smith Redwood State Park. For someone who doesn’t hike regularly, this is a bit challenging. Trail conditions were good even after lots of rain. One exception, near the end of the trail there is a place where you need to duck under trees, roots, other material.

Trails lead down to secluded beaches where the driftwood piles and ancient rocks hide crabs and sea stars. Although the parks are best known for redwoods, 70 miles (142 km) of Coastal Trail offers the adventurous hiker a different experience. Delicate tidepool creatures, sandy beaches, and the jagged Pacific coastline await your exploration. The Skyline Trail. This long but easy trail on California Water Service Company property joins Huddart and Wunderlich County Parks. It mainly seems to be used by joggers combining the trails in the two parks. The most interesting part of the trail is a small, little-known patch of upland old-growth redwoods about two miles in.
