the problem with the reworked Okumura boss fight isn’t that it’s hard. the problem with the Okumura boss fight is that (1) its difficulty isn’t telegraphed very well in advance, (2) its difficulty isn’t really consistent with other boss fights before or after, and (3) its design incorporates one too many curveballs and goes from feeling like a fresh challenge to feeling too clever by half.
